The End Clamp has one primary job: to securely fasten the outermost frame of the first or last solar panel in a row to the mounting rail. It acts as the "bookend" for the entire row, ensuring the end panel cannot slide off.

2. Key Characteristics:

Design: It typically has a single "jaw" or arm that extends over the panel frame. The other side is a solid block or is shaped to fit snugly against the outer edge of the rail.

Material: Made from anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance, with a stainless steel bolt (SS304 or SS316).

Installation: It is placed at the very end of the rail. The bolt is tightened, which pulls the clamp down, pressing the panel frame against the rail.

3. How It Is Used:

End Clamps are used on the two outer ends of a row of panels. The standard sequence on a rail is:

End Clamp -> Solar Panel -> Mid Clamp -> Solar Panel -> Mid Clamp -> Solar Panel -> End Clamp

4. Key Advantages:

Completes the Array: Provides the necessary termination point for the row, locking all interior panels in place.

Security: Prevents the entire row of panels from shifting laterally.

Clean Finish: Provides a finished, professional look to the edge of the array.

No Drilling: Like mid-clamps, it requires no drilling into the panel frames, preserving their structural integrity and warranty.

5. Important Considerations:

Torque Specification: Must be tightened to the manufacturer's specified torque value to avoid under- or over-tightening.

Compatibility: Must be compatible with the specific brand and profile of the mounting rail, as well as the thickness of the solar panel frame.

Pairing: Always used in pairs (one for each end of a rail) and often sold that way.
